It goes without saying that if the sexes were reversed, the guy would be looking at 15 years in prison without the possibility of early parole and that's if he's lucky. The U.K. is horrible about this kind of thing. I  remember reading about a guy getting arrested on the street for carrying a potato peeler which they classified  as him wielding a  'knife weapon' or 'bladed weapon' I can't recall exactly.
