Another thing I have to consider is what's keeping the alpha jock from bashing the nerd's face in when he sees him with his mom. Now I'd like for this to be kinda a beliveable reason. Was thinking the mom knows that her son's on steroids/gear while he's been on the football team and if he interferes with her prom date she'll report him to the College admissions and he'll lose his athletic scholarship. That's both brutal and realistic at the same time, you know how serious jocks take their sports.
