I made a few attempts to broach the topic with three people close to me, with several years apart between attempts.

All three times utterly failed and I had to backpedal to avoid losing these people. Btw, these three people were two women and one man, all three have done very sexually fucked up things and consider 'morality' to be a joke. Even they had a massively negative reaction when I hinted at this topic. People are not ready to talk about these things yet.

My mom was hot, the resident top MILF where ever she went which meant that classmates and acquaintances would quickly notice.

Most of them would just make an off-hand comment or something, but a few would actually try to get me to give them information or help which I never did. The thing is, it would have been very easy to implement because my mother liked to drink which made her a bit uhhh, accessible. I knew exactly what to do but never did even though I secretly REALLY wanted to, not for this reason but as a lesson for her to stop drinking.

Did these fantasies develop as a result of something in RL?  for example, I was raised by a single mother that was very attractive as I was growing up, but she quite hostile to me specifically.
